Designhouse is a website builder with no visual editor. The first version of the site is built from a description of your business, and every change after that is a message in the studio chat: a new price, a new page, a different photograph, a darker palette. The design holds while the content moves, and nothing is public until you publish.

“On the Portfolio page, the Headshots group has no photographs in it, while Weddings and Portraits & Families each show two. Add two headshot photographs to the Headshots group so it matches the other two. They should look like this photographer's own work: one person, natural light, a plain or softly blurred background, relaxed rather than corporate. Same unfussy documentary style as the photographs already on the site. Head and shoulders, one of a man and one of a woman. Don't change the layout, the captions, or anything else on the page.”
What changedTwo head-and-shoulders portraits were generated to match the site's photographs and placed in the Headshots group. The captions, the layout and the other four pages were left alone. The site republished in one click.

Wherever the kids' cut is described, remove "boys" — it should read like "patient, clean scissor and clipper cuts for kids under twelve", never "for boys under twelve".”

The design holds.
Every site starts with its own design system: a palette, a pair of typefaces, spacing and section shapes chosen for the business. When you ask for a change, the chat works inside that system, so a new page looks like it belongs and a reworded paragraph keeps its place. That is the difference between editing by chat and editing a canvas, where every dragged block is a chance to break the alignment.
It also means nobody has to learn the tool. The person who set the site up can hand the address to someone else, and that person keeps it current by writing sentences.

- Is there really no visual editor?
- No. Every change goes through the chat. If you want one word changed, name the word.
- What if the change isn't what I meant?
- Say so and describe it differently; the chat tries again. Save a version before a large change and you can go back to it.
- Can I upload my own photographs?
- Yes. Upload them in the studio and say where they go. Where you have none, an image is generated in the site's style to hold the place.
- How long does an edit take?
- A wording change comes back in well under a minute. A new page or a reworked section takes a few minutes, and you watch it happen.
- Can I edit the code instead?
- There is no code editor. The site is built and kept for you; if you want something specific, describe the result you are after.
- Does editing by chat cost anything?
- Edits use build credits. The free plan includes enough to build the site and take it live; Pro adds a monthly allowance.
