Clean the outer surface with a damp cloth and dry carefully. Do not flip the toaster upside down or shake it, rather remove the crumbs from the collection tray located near the base of the toaster. Before putting the toaster away, always allow it to cool completely and be sure to wind the cable around the winder and not around the body of the appliance.
